Fake Version Guide?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone can post how to make a fake version of a map guide..
How to change the text on loading screen, how to change the version in-game on top right hand corner that box, map description or anything that is suppose to be there to make a fake version of a map..

thanks! it helped me alot.

But, there's 1 loophole.. Everything in my map changed to the version 1 i faked.
But, the top right hand corner box in game still shows the previous version...

Any guide to change that? i tried exploring the a few files but unable to find anything linked to that..

It has got the same box on the top right hand corner in-game writing "Version X.X" something..
Please guide me on how to change that.. Thank you!

Did you try looking in the w3i?

yes, in w3i, all look like alien text to me.. weird symbols n etc..
but there's also afew words like "TRG_STR314". I tried to find every string number in other files, but just can't find the link to the Box in-game that states the version...

Well, I've never done it before, but from what it looks like, one of those strings is the one that says the name of the version. Just go to the strings file and ctrl+F 3.3e and change em all, lol.

lol, i CTRL+F 3.3e and replace all of them in the wts file but still show 3.3e in the game.. ><

Open the wts file and dont do CTRL+F and replace all. Do one at a time. And dont forget to save and then replace the file.
