I am *trying* to make a multiplayer rpg that uses a game cache to save and load characters. I looked on the internet about how game caches work and I was able to use one to save and load units. When I tried to do so on a LAN game, however, the other computer disconnected soon or almost immediately after. Is it possible to use game caches in multiplayer to save information and reload it afterward in a different instance of a game? Or is it just a computer or programming error on my part.
If you need to know more, please say so.

Re: Game Cache Questions
You're asking if it's possible to "transfer" data from one game to another? If so, then nope.
As for the save/load, Just encode the unit/player data with a decent charmap, to hexadecimal.

So the game caches can't be made to work like that? Thanks for replying.
