Map: Heroes of Pandaria Brawl v6.6e
Link: http://epicwar.com/maps/73380/
Cheats: No cheats, just deprotected so that I can open and edit in either world editor or world editor unlimited.
I have tried Xdep and then using the World Editor Unlimited tool to re save and then it crashes when I open it in world editor and click save. It gets to the verifying step and crashes.
Thanks,
PhrznAssazin

Thanks, but uhh.....
There are no custom units, it still crashes when I save, and I can't test
I think you did exactly what I did and used something called XDEP!!!!
So can you actually fix this correctly or are you too noob?
Thanks

Re: [deprotect]Heroes of Pandaria Brawl v6.6e
You are calling me a noob?
The thing I did was deprotecting it. That's what you asked for. If anyone else were to do it that would happen too
What is happening is that the map gets corrupted when you deprotect it and there is no way to stop that. If you want to be able to completely use map editor on this you would have to restore it but that takes days/months to do and because it takes soo long this forum doesn't do it.
If you want to restore it yourself you can follow THIS TUTORIAL
For not knowing all this your a noob

Re: [deprotect]Heroes of Pandaria Brawl v6.6e
Extract the war3map.w3u from the original map, and insert it into the deprotected map. That should make the custom units appear.
[edit] Note that if there is a folder called Units\ and there is no war3map.w3u, you'll need to extract the contents of the Units\ folder, and run Silk Object Console on it, to get a war3map.w3u, as it was widgetized. I uploaded it somewhere in the Tools section, so you can grab it there if you need it.

Re: [deprotect]Heroes of Pandaria Brawl v6.6e
would you mind previding a link to silk
I looked for it on the forums and couldnt find it, and i googled it and it doesnt seem to work
it told me to put My map called mymap in the folder and then run the program.
I never had to extract and the w3u didn't show up.

Well, looking at your request, all you asked was for it to be deprotected, that's all he did, so you can't call him a noob?PhrznAssazin wrote: I said ur a noob bcause I said that i Xdeped it myself and all u did was Xdep is too
You never said anything about the custom unit part, and if you have read the tutorials, you would know that deprotecting
it doesn't always work, and you will most likely have to restore it before it becomes editable.
