So you know how when you deprotect a map it loses all of the variable names and categories for triggers making all of the trigger impossible to understand? Is it possible to deprotect a map and still have all of those organizational parts intact? I'm trying to start updating a map that hasn't been touched in an editor for about three years. I think it's a great map and has a lot of potenial but I can't get at it because I can't understand the triggers.
Edit: If the reason this cannot be achieved is because of sheer amount of work then I can provide some monetary compensation as incentive. I will require that not well known members who succeed to provide then map first and well-known/respected members can be paid up front. If you are going to attempt this please post on here so that others know you are and may act accordingly.
I'm trying to revive, fix, update, and upgrade a map that's been out of commision for three years and I think it's amazing. It IS important for me to have the triggers and variables intact with their original names so i can go back to fix and change things. Since I only know how to use Xdep (which ruins the triggers and variables) I can't do this myself. I think this might be impossible since it's likely that the map protecter is causing the change in the triggers and variables and not Xdep.
I've played the map and love it. Sounds like its possible to do, and shit if i knew how to do it I would. And Seph what exactly did your post mean? "This much just for a deprotection? I don't think its really worth it." He is asking for a deprotection with all the variables and all still intact. And what part is not worth it? If he is offering money then I would assume its worth it to him.
You know why the Yankees always win, Frank?
'Cause they have Mickey Mantle?
No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.
Actually I don't need it deprotected anymore. The whole purpose was to update the map but Creamy_T the creator of it just released a new version two days ago because he saw someone on hiveworkshop said they liked it.
