sorta a GUI material question, but you would do this:

Variables (Trigger editor, then hit ctrl+B) make a new one, for a player group, any name

events: someone types the cheat activator so, player types chat message, all players

conditions: entered chat string (string comparison) was the cheat activator

actions: Player - > add player to player group your player group you made

then, for all your new triggers or things, add a condition on it -> player is in player group

thats in boolean -> player -> player in group triggering player of group your group...

so yeah, thats it, or the usual way...

Soooo...

I've managed to Un-Protect the map I wanted to change (it was time to take the matter in my own hands and balance that blasted map!), however... When I attempted to edit it, then I noticed that all the custom units were missing. Meaning that when I'll try to play it (it spawns custom units in the start of the game) then it won't spawn anything because they "don't exist".

No direct errors seemed to happen when I followed your Guide. No crashes, no freezes, no nothing.

Is there something else I could try by myself, should I let you deal with the situation, or should I simply give up?

By the way, it is a "Wintermaul Wars" map, just to add it in.

What i understoond was that the custom units/items/abilities are missing right?
You need to use a special tool about this problem. In here you will find Sild object recover.. use it.

Well, the funny thing about is that the abilities remain, though I don't know if it's linked to the other things. So, I'll have a look at that "Sild".

yes.

don't use xdep again on that specific map, unless you know how to fix it.

for the -str -int -lvl kindof thing might i make a suggestion?
Basic Kill Command

Code: Select all

Events
Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -kill as An exact match
Conditions
Actions
Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units currently selected by Player 1 (Red)) and do (Unit - Kill (Picked unit))
I found it in gods land. its really buggy because it can kill unpredictable things. like sometimes it kills a gold mine.

Yeah...that is really buggy O_o, I made that trigger in an rpg and it sometimes killed invulnerable stuff instead of what I was targeting, so everyone would know instantly that someone was cheating...lol
