GUI is short for Graphical User Interface
yes it's a trigger you make inside of the world editor...houston wrote:Heya guys,

When you deprotect a map (with xdep for exsample) the GUI triggers get put into JASS and can't really be restored (at least not in any easy way)that guy^ wrote: There is an topic about the map "Coustom Hero Arena"

As fas as i know, only x-dep is doing this, meaning that there are some ways to restore triggers. For instance, nathanmx unprotector had an option to restore triggers (with a note saying "WHERE POSSIBLE") so it isn't impossible

Re: What is an GUI Trigger?
the thing is, most map optimizers/protectors have options, or tend to delete the .wtg, and other unnecessary files. The map does not use the gui triggers, its ONLY there so that you can view the triggers in the map editor... Its just extra space if you just want to play the map... Jass however, needs to stay (when you make a gui trigger, it just turns it into jass afterall that work)... thus why most gui cant be restored...
