Re: a new laptop
Without looking online, I think that would be close to $900 I believe. Possibly a lot more.

Re: a new laptop
That's actually a dual-core. It just shows up as 4 cores since it has HT, don't let that fool you. I really wouldn't have gone for that machine, the Intel® HD Graphics 4400 has just slow shared memory, whereas the Iris Pro (5xxx) has 128MB of extremely fast L4 cache. Also the invalid is basically the same. My macbook actually has one of the Iris Pro GPUs and it has about half the speed of the dedicated Geforce GT 750M it comes with as well.Apple wrote: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80GHz (4 CPUs)
Your 4500U: $393.00

4850HQ (Twice the cores, much better GPU): $434.00

Re: a new laptop
I would guess the laptop would be around $800-$1000...HERE. There, I'm not sure. Maybe twice as much?
Like Dekar said, unless I was extremely concerned about battery, I would not have gone for that CPU, like...at all. In fact, it's actually rather hard for me to believe the MSRP of that CPU, even counting it's low TDP...
