MPQmaser memory help
when You delete a file from MPQmaser, the file memory remains. Is there anything you can do about that. I need to know because it makes the map have to much memory

Re: MPQmaser memory help
In the Options menu at the top, choose Compact(Flush), at the bottom of the pull-down menu.
You're correct, deleting a file doesn't actually delete it from the map. That's why you need to flush it.

Make sure you're clicked on something in the main view, too, not the hierarchy pane on the side. It doesn't let you run the flush when you're clicked in there, oddly.

Re: MPQmaser memory help
I can't find any screencasting software at the moment (must fix!), so I'm just going to make a quick screenshot tour.
First:
I just opened the map in MPQMaster. Notice that something in the directory tree on the right is selected, and nothing in the main pane is. Now look at the top: I can't choose Operations; it's grayed-out and unselectable.
Second:
I just clicked a file in the main pane. It doesn't matter what file. Notice that I'm now able to choose the Operations menu!
Third:
So I go into the Operations menu, and oh noes! The Compact(Flush) button is grayed-out and unselectable!
Fourth:
Click the exit button. Close MPQMaster. Run it again, open the map in MPQMaster again, click a file in the main pane of MPQMaster, and then go into the Operations menu (Note: Basically, repeating steps 1 and two), and...
Fifth:
Compact(Flush) is an available option now! Hooray! Click it, and it will remove all of those "deleted" files, actually deleting them, and shrinking the map's size a bit. Always do this after you delete a file or replace a file in an MPQ!
