Hello, I recently had a map deprotected (Final Fantasy Forever) and I was reading on how to restore it useing the guide on this site. Well one of the first things it says is "Make sure there are no compileing errors" well I have about 9700 when I try saveing the map. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Also, this isn't for cheating, a friend and I want to edit the map.
Sorry if this is the wrong place.
Trying to restore, thousands of compileing errors.

We don't restore maps.
You get told when you deprotect the map that it may corrupt, well guess what?

I never asked anyone to restore anything. I was just asking if there was a way to fix the compileing errors.

Was the map protected at first...?
Looking at the .j file, it doesn't look like it was compressed (protecting it most likely would have compressed the file),
it has all the comments like this...
Which is usually only found in maps that haven't been protected/compressed at all...
(edit) well I DL'd the original version, it's protected...
but anyways, how did you get 9,700 errors? You only have 4.

I'm not sure how, all the errors are "expected a name" "expected a varible name" "expected a endloop" or "expected a endif".

Yeah, that's after editing it. You know what that is? CORRUPTION.
You have to restore the rest of the map before editing it.

I havn't touched anything on the map. And the guide on these forums says "Save the map somewhere, and make sure it gives you no compile errors or anything."(link http://forum.wc3edit.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1606 )
Again, that's just opening up the deprotected version and trying to save it somewhere.
