Some Tips for a begginer?

Post by unfocus »

First i like to say something. No need for me to ask for u guys inserting cheat packs into maps, I CAN DO IT MY SELF NOW :DD

AND, i Do not know whether this belongs in warcraft support or general map editing.

Ok so I'm a begginner at map editing, a huge beginner never done editing, but i use the world editor, Ok so I've fooled around the world editor by placing terrain doodads units everywhere, I still dont know how to remove, Kindve need help with the trigger editor, and i've been fooling around with the object editor, Ok now I've been editing this map tree tag, and now i edited and added some skills to the ents, I just need help with like how to have em with invetories, the triggers :)

Well for starters just list whatever you need help with..since its kinda hard to help without a general idea of what ya want..anyways..to delete doodads just click on the doodad thats placed down and press Del..and if your already selected something to place down and dont know how to get it back to a normal cruiser just press the Space key..

For your inventorys, they arent done with triggers..just go into the Object Editor and select your ent. Then find Abilitys - Normal..it should be right at the top..Double click that and it will bring up a menu called Edit Unit Value - Ability List. From here, click Add Ability, then scroll down the list under Units and find Inventory (Hero). That will add 6 inventory slots to a unit.

Anymore help you need, as i said, just post it. Goodluck.

Geh..alright..i wont be able to help much with that..I dont know an ounce of Jass..lol Anyways to modify the map size..go to Scenario - Map Size and Camera Bounds...Then near the bottom of the menu that pops up it should say "Modify Map Bounds" with a checkbox next to it. Check that, then use the Arrows to the sides, top and bottom of the preview that it shows to change the size of the map..however by doing so that will mean that you have to do extra terrain work..so i wish you luck with that..lol

alright well thanks hope i figure or some one tells me for that part, but now i have this slight problem, more like a dumb ass idea, i over ran trees and enlarged my map, but now i have way too much space to put trees so i will probably have like 13k trees in the map, and since i cant save over 6.1k i think, I made these nice areas too :(
