editing a war3map.j

hi, i have a problem with a war3map.j
i got this war3map.j with an MPQEditor and i opened the war3map.j

but now the problem, if i save the edited war3map.j i only saved the extracted one, but not the war3map.j inside the map? you know what i mean?

easier: MPQEditor -> open the map -> extrat war3map.j in scripts to the "work" folder -> editing the war3map.j -> saving it -> extrating the war3map.j from the map again (with MPQEditor) but nothing changed -> there was no save.

so how can i integrade the new war3map.j in the old one.

After you extract it, edit, and save, you need to put it into the map. Right click on the war3map.j in the map, choose Delete, confirm Yes if a message pops up, and right click anywhere and hit Add File. Find the saved war3map.j, and add it in. Then, go up to the top, and choose Compact archive in the Operations menu. Then, you can exit out, you're done!

ah thank you =) it works fine...
i didnt know that hacking a map is so easy... ok i do understand the source code ;) i think thats why its easier for me.

hmm i will make a tut here for you in hacking a map but its its mpq master not mpq editor

ok done so you will need MPQ Master and Jasscraft(JJ'sCp)

Get them here

so lets get started

first open MPQ Master
then click File/Open or Ctrl+O for ShortCut
If you see the file named (Attributes) file in it delete it
then extract war3map.j in desktop it should be located outside or if not it's in the scripts folder
open up jasscraft
then click File/Open or hit Ctrl+O again if you dont mind.
then in the first line or line no 1 there will be a named globals
put the first part under the globals
