[Deprotect] Final Fantasy ORPG v1.17

Post by jvhgamer »

Hey everyone I would like this map deprotected so I can edit some triggers/units. =)

Map Download Link: http://epicwar.com/maps/58799/

Map Description:...
Save/Load = True
Inventory Save/Load = True
Character Pick = True
Fun = True

A very fun ORPG that I would like to fix up a bit =).

Thank you!, jvhgamer.
P.S. If you want more specific details please ask and I will post them for you =). Please Do not trash! I will provide more info. if required!

It doesn't work that way, are you aware that deprotecting the map may corrupt the map which will be unplayable / all triggers will disappear?

May not work because of corruption!

Look im not sure how the whole "deprotection" thing works but I did use..http://deprotect.nathanmx.com/ when I had a P.C....it usually got the job done, but since I'm on a mac I need someone to help me out with this, you get my drift? And is there a way to deprotect the map without corruption. And how does a map get corrupted when it becomes deprotected.

oh and matchai the file attached wasnt deprotected!

Thanks,
jvhgamer.

It was but it got curropted,

you can fix that by restoring the triggers and our forum doesn't do that but we have a tutorial for it somewhere. You can't request restoration because it could take weeks, months or even a year.

Please inform me on a site that does this. And I do not get how restoring triggers can take weeks! Just dont "corrupt" the file when you deprotect it!

We can't not corrupt the file. The deprotection process isn't really that easy, and a lot of things can screw up. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it screws up, and you just can't deprotect it.

Err... If you're on a mac, couldn't you just use a virtualization program, run windows, and use Deprotect? Or even Boot Camp?

There is no site that does restoration of triggers. It can take a while because there's a lot of stuff that needs to be done. The reason it take so long is that you have to go through the jass, trigger by trigger, figure out what each one does, figure out how to convert it to gui (which sometimes isn't possible, some things can only be done in jass), and then make a gui trigger that will do the same thing as the jass trigger and delete the jass. One trigger at a time. Restoration can really take a while because not only is it long and tedious, you need to have a fair amount of jass knowledge to be able to figure out what the trigger does, and you need to have a fair amount of gui knowledge to be able to figure out how to do what that jass trigger does in gui. Restore it yourself if you must have gui triggers, here's a guide.
