I tried to deprotect maps with xDEP but i cant open the deped maps, WeRandomSetGroup Error -.- ...
The weird thing is that, i deped a lot of maps, an example, footmen frenzy 4.2 in the pst, i deped it and it was openable in the WE but now, i deprotect the same map and it throws me that error. same with a LOT OF MAPS! WTH IS HAPPENING!? 1.22 patch screwed something up? XD i redled the xdep but its the same result ... so i think the ychanged something i nthe WE in patch 1.22 ... Suggestions?

In this case the problem is with "WERandomGroupSet (.?AUERandomGroupSet@@)". Keyword: Group. This indicates the problem is with the war3map.w3i file. This is the file that deals with the map info and player grouping / forces.
So, how do you fix? There is more than one way, but the easiest way is to just overwrite the .w3i file. Open the map with the MPQ master, go to 'Operations > Add file(s)...' and add a blank war3map.w3i file.Close MPQ master and you should be all set to open the map in the World Editor.

Great fix Shamanno, I didnt know that myself. If I recall, there was a post with various errors and solutions, and I dont think this was listed within. Maybe a sticky should be assembled again with an updated error list.
