How to edit terrain without world editor?
ok guys i need help on a certain thing.... u know i modded a map made by some other guy trying to add codes in, and when i host the game, the people always complain that the map's terrain got bugs, and i wanna try to edit the terrain, but because the map's war3map.j file has been made from scratch externally, not with the world editor, and when i try to edit the terrain in world editor and then save it, it will say not all players' starting locations have been placed, and ask if i wan it to place them automatically, when i press no, nothing happened, i can't save. When i press yes, the editor just replaces the map's war3map.j with a screwed up one, making my map unplayable... any solutions to this?

Open the map in MPQ Master and export the war3map.w3e file. Import that file into a blank map or one you don't care about delete the attributes file, open it up in world editor, edit, save and export the .w3e Then after thats done import it back to the original and be sure to delete the attributes file.

'Cause they have Mickey Mantle?
No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.

Re: How to edit terrain without world editor?
ok tnks a lot ghetto i got it now
edit: i made a copy of the map and edited the map in WE by removing some doodads, and i imported the file war3map.doo back into my origina; copy of the map... and when i played it in warcrft, i see the edited areas, it was ok, but when i try to walk over the areas, it will seems like there's still something left behind at the exact areas of the removed doodads, although i can't see anything at the areas... anyone can help mi with this? it seems like i can't see the removed doodads, but when i tried to use a unit to walk over them, there's still something blocking the area...
