Hey Thanks For Comeing to this site i was wondering why cant we just like have a website like epicwar.com for hacked sites that no1 knows it would be kinda cool if we had a website that we can upload maps to like insted of this site. because if u want someone to host a hacked map u cant have em to go this site tho or blizzard might shut it down like shadowfrench once or something just wondering if someone could create a map like epicwar.com like named Epicmaps.com or .net or something then anyone could come i was just wondering if someone could like dekar but just like a website that we can only upload hacked maps or like that because if we do hacks its just like another wc3edit.net or like sometimes called sc2edit.net i was just wondering if we could xD please dont trash this

Well it all really depends on whether Dekar feels the need for this, and if so, whether he wants to pay for the domain,server,etc... Maybe some people might need to be generous and donate! Plus, we already have a fileserver, i reckon that's sufficient for hacked map hosting...

This site has a fileserver as mentioned and this site poses no threat to Blizzard whatsoever. We are in terms of the TOS and do nothing to void it. All we simply do is edit the .j included into the map which is basically editing the map as the World Editor would have. So what we do is perfectly legal. Also any person that creates a map that says we are voiding their copyrights must have not read the fine print while using the World Editor as it clearly states that all maps are copyrighted to Blizzard.

This is the reason IceFrog cannot gain actual profit from the map unless he goes through Blizzard Entertainment first. He can profit from LAN's and tournaments, but not from the map itself which is why it is free to dl and such otherwise it would be copyright infringement. So in otherwords we are safe from any threat of being knocked offline.

What I actually think would be better and partially go along with what you suggested would be for the fileserver to have an alphabetized and map type section for faster map lookups and downloads. I guess a simple find function in the browser would be good, but this way you could browse different types of maps along the way. But that's just my opinion, I love to be organized.

Yeah I like to be organized too Anyway, I just think that a good idea would to put a small box somewhere near the attachment block that lets you upload directly to the fileserver. Like the forum in the picture posted (although that's to an imageserver....)
