I need help. Exporting skin files from a protected map.

Post by Kwakdragon »

I'm trying to export some skin models from this map. However, when I go into the map through the warcraft 3 map editor, there are no files in the import manager. How do I get those model files when they do not show up in the import manager. If you want to see the map I am talking about. here is the URL http://epicwar.com/maps/42668/

You need to make a listfile, then just look over in the units tab (or whatever) and find the path of the model that you want. If there arn't custom units or anything then you might need to do an extra step but we'll see. Then open the map with MPQ Master and export the files you want. If you need more help just ask.

No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.

Okay, get the tools you need such as MPQ Master and MPQ Recover. Open then map with MPQ recover and generate a listfile. Move that listfile into the listfile directory of MPQ Master and open up your map with MPQ Master with your newly created listfile. Then extract the files that you want. If the map is openable in world editor then you can do what I said earlier by taking a look at the model/skin paths of the units and such.
