First of all you will need this http://forum.wc3edit.net/viewtopic.php?t=2 MPQ Master thing, with this you can open the w3x map you suspect for cheats. Once opened you ll be prompted for listfile selection, select the "listfile.txt". Now look for "war3map.J" its the script of the map and can be found either on the root of the map or in a folder named "scripts". Open it with Jasscraft found in the location above. Now that youre in the script make a search for either "cheat" or "hack" or "wc3edit".

If you are making the map that you dont want to be hacked you can always make a secret trigger in a weird place named something that you wouldent think would tell if its hacked or not... In some of my maps i make a trigger that is really long that people that hack maps dont reallly want to read. And the trigger wont do anything but at the end in the last trigger it will tell the version. Only prob if you upgrade the map you have to remember to change the version at the bottem of the trigger.

Or you can also make quest menu that says the version number somewhere in it. But that dosnt always work because they can easely change that. Im not sure how Skillet-Collide did the version trigger in Vampirism fire 4.02b But if the game is hacked and they dont remove the trigger the trees will fall right away when you start to mine them. You should talk to Xantan about that and see what he says.

yes... but some ways are pretty common... if your enemy is kinda imba... but you know that, that thing can't happen in a real game... some times the filename is different. like in Vampirism Fire.. the original file name is VampirismFire4.02b.w3x while the fake one is Vampirism Fire 4.02b, i have noticed this for a while.. some times ther are keywords in the file name... like opt-,FINAL, AMH( Some are not really amh only cheated XD)... and there is one thing more... when the file is heavier than usual.. a non cheated version of vamp is 500kb while the cheated is 900kb++ hehehe.. i pretty observant with this things..

When you find that it is cheated.. go use MPQ master and open the scripts.. and try to search for some common words like.. cheat, hidden,secret.. or even the cheat itself.. "-gold" then try to find the activator... by searching a trigger that uses user interaction...

Try not to bump a three month old topic, kay? I'm pretty sure most of this has been pointed out in other sub-forums, but might as well post it here, too.
