need MPQ editor to compress map

When adding or modifying cheatpacks I usually use Lakiq's MPQeditor and it works fine except for 1 caveat. The compact archive command rarely works properly. As a result every time I make a change to the map.j the and import it map size grows even if the change is only 2 a couple letters. I read that this is because The old "replaced" map.j is still saved somewhere in the map and just not used but I don't know how to get rid of it.

I need a better mpq editor to compress or compact or flush or whatever you call it to make the old versions on map.j disappear from map so the size doesn't swell with every minor change.

Any suggestions are appreciated

P.S. I tried mpq master and it didn't work on the maps I'm editing

Getting better a better listfile for the map in question usually solves MPQEditor not being able to compact it. Try using RMPQEx and auto-detecting the files, then creating a listfile and using it in MPQEditor.
