Re: Help in deprotecting
If it fails to open with any MPQ editing tools (MPQ Master, RMPQex are editors. WE is not), it's probably corrupted.
Easiest fix:
1) Get xdep. http://forum.wc3edit.net/tools-f32/a-li ... ls-t2.html
2) Extract xdep to a folder.
3) Open up xdep.ini in Notepad or whatever, and replace everything there with this:4) Put the map you need to deprotect in the folder, rename it "xdep.w3x".
5) Run xdep.
6) Get MPQ View. http://forum.wc3edit.net/useful-tools-f ... t6303.html
7) Get a listfile for the map. I suggest this tool: http://forum.wc3edit.net/useful-tools-f ... 13994.html
7a) Run WC3, run that program, play the map a bunch, save a listfile with the program.
8 ) Using MPQ View, extract all the files from the map to xdep/xdep.w3x.temp/files/ but don't replace files that are already there.
9) Run xdep again.
10) ???
11) Profit!
