Help in deprotecting

Post by GM_reggie »

Its about the chapter 3 in this thread http://forum.wc3edit.net/deprotection-c ... 16357.html

When I tried to do that,it says "there is not enough space for adding files into MPQ archive"

Try a different editor or make sure the map is not MPQ protected.

If it fails to open with any MPQ editing tools (MPQ Master, RMPQex are editors. WE is not), it's probably corrupted.

Easiest fix:
1) Get xdep. http://forum.wc3edit.net/tools-f32/a-li ... ls-t2.html
2) Extract xdep to a folder.
3) Open up xdep.ini in Notepad or whatever, and replace everything there with this:
Spoiler:
inmapfile = xdep.w3x
outmapfile = deprotected.w3x
clean_temp_onstart = 0
clean_temp_onsuccess = 1
clean_temp_onerror = 0
pause_onsuccess = 1
pause_onerror = 1
scan_enable = 1
scan_append_listfile = 1
halt_on_unknowns = 0
delete_als = 1
patch_w3i = 1
build_imp = 1
build_dummy_doo = 1
recover_script = 1
build_w3x = 1
rename_reserved_functions = 0
inline_functions = 0
rename_globals = 0
indent_script = 0
parse_w3data = 1
build_doo = 1
4) Put the map you need to deprotect in the folder, rename it "xdep.w3x".
5) Run xdep.
6) Get MPQ View. http://forum.wc3edit.net/useful-tools-f ... t6303.html
7) Get a listfile for the map. I suggest this tool: http://forum.wc3edit.net/useful-tools-f ... 13994.html
7a) Run WC3, run that program, play the map a bunch, save a listfile with the program.
8 ) Using MPQ View, extract all the files from the map to xdep/xdep.w3x.temp/files/ but don't replace files that are already there.
9) Run xdep again.
10) ???
11) Profit!

If you need help on that, post here, check chat, or PM me.

FatherSpace: So monogamy is your enemy?
Bartimaeus: Hmm, well, I hope my sister hasn't been kidnapped.
FatherSpace: What happened, Bart?
Bartimaeus: She walked out of the house saying that she was going over to some friends, and it's been like two hours, and my mom is trying to get a hold of her, which she's been unable to.
Bartimaeus: I can also hear three car alarms going off.
GeorgeMots: how old is she?
Bartimaeus: I haven't a clue. Probably 17.
UndeadxAssassin: wut
AbusivePie: You don't know how old your sister is?
Bartimaeus: Nope.
UndeadxAssassin: Epic fail
GeorgeMots: is she cute??
Bartimaeus: So, uh, how about you get into the Christmas spirit and put that avatar on before I do it myself and take away your bloody avatar-changin' rights?
UndeadxAssassin: If I thought of a random one...
UndeadxAssassin: Like....
UndeadxAssassin: I'll get back to you on that
