How to modify Map Name - Explained

May some one explain me how to modify the map name ? I did modify it but in lobby it is still the same.

Edit the w3x, the map it self with a hex editor.

I did modify it with XVI32 hex editor but it shows v2.50b in lobby.And i modiffyed v2.50b to v2.50c in hex editor...

1. Open the map with MPQMaster, extract the war3map.j, search for SetMapName and change it, save and reinsert.
2. Extract the war3map.w3i in MPQMaster, open it with a hex editor, change the map name, save and reinsert.
3. If the version number appears where the food normally does, extract the MapSkin.txt and change the part after the equals sign in UPKEEP_NONE= to display the version you want, save and reinsert.
4. Edit the map itself with a hex editor, change the map name, save.

Stop pointing people to the FAQ. How is he supposed to know its his answer there? This is a forum so people can put their questions here, otherwise we would link every request to the guide and tell them to do it themselves.

Mine's simpler, and it's actually in the topic instead of telling him to go find the FAQ and find that section in it.
