Re: Websense
I found that using HTTPort worked quite well (albeit slow, probably because my home connection is slow though) in bypassing my school proxy.
you can get it at download.com

So you can't change other people's password? Of course they block stuff like that...Doctor_Pepper wrote:so why isnt this place banned? oh and in cmd on school net works why does it deny access using cmds like /net localgroups ...username... /add or changeing others passwords?

Re: Websense
I'm surprised they only banned certain commands; command prompt in general is disabled on our accounts. Including command-line based programs.
It's banned because they can't possibly block every method of getting around their filters.

Re: Websense
CMD at my school is actually blocked half of the time. The security policies keep changing overnight ... The bad commands are always blocked though.

I've got a macro that runs inside of a Word document that will give you a fully-enabled CMD.

It's the top post on that page.
I don't know if it will allow you to do things that require administrator rights, but it will at least give you a working command prompt.

If you can't write to the system directories (system32) or edit the registry, it won't work. So yeah, if the security is half decent this won't work.Senethior459 wrote:I've got a macro that runs inside of a Word document that will give you a fully-enabled CMD.
