I didn't post the link to the site with the Software i posted the software
And if your talking about the Microsoft Scan thats there scan that they offer for free, it found the SVCHost.exe that was fake on my computer
Bartimaeus wrote:svchost.exe is an extremely critical process for Windows. You would not want to stop that for a minute, much less permanently.
Theres multiple types, after contacting Microsoft i guess a hacker created a Virus that looks like SVChost.exe because the antivirus programs cant remove/repair it, and its extreamly bad for your computer if you have this virus. Took me 8 hours to get it compleatly removed last night.
Microsoft said there should only be 1 SVCHost, and thats in the Win32 file, the others are Viruses

Each Svchost.exe session can contain a grouping of services. Therefore, separate services can run, depending on how and where Svchost.exe is started. This grouping of services allows for better control and easier debugging.

I knew what he said was crap. I have literally ten SVChost.exe's running all the time, (I could take a screenshot if you want, lol). On XP a few months ago, I had like three or four running at all times, as well.
Googling what the service actually does reveals that it's a Windows service for grouping generic system programs that run using .dll's, and that, indeed, 10-15 is perfectly normal.
You're crippling your system because of your silly idea for efficiency.
I wasn't talking about the services, i was talking about where the .exe is located. If you do a search there should only be the one He said in the previous post, If theres anyothers then its a Virus thats pretending to be SVCHost.exe, Trust me i talked with microsoft for 3 hours yesterday because my Antivirus kept stoping SVCHost.exe every 5 min, and every time it would be in a different spot on my computer. After running the scanner that Microsoft wanted me to run it removed 47 SVChost.exe's
The fake one that it removed is usually found/download when you download files off a Peer to Peer Program for instance LimeWire (how i got it yesterday) http://svchostvirus.com/
