Computer Startup
Everytime I turn on my computer, it would make this really weird noise. I'm not sure what it is, but my uncle said it had to do something with the fan (not sure about that) in the mean time can someone try to solve this problem please? I'll try and get a sound recording and post it if possbile.

Re: Computer Startup
Turn it off, open it up. Use a can of compressed air to blow out the dust, make sure all the connections are firm, check that there's nothing obstructing/stuck in the fan. Hard drives and fans typically make the most noise; fans most of all. Look at the fan to see if there's anything obviously wrong with it.

THanks, it worked! Seems like it was the dust's fault. Damn dust.Senethior459 wrote:Turn it off, open it up. Re: Computer Startup
Can you tell what is making that noise? Try to isolate it down to one bit of hardware, then see if there's anything obviously causing the noise (ie. dust, faulty connections, fist-shaped dents from previous enraged assassination attempts upon the computer).

Re: Computer Startup
You just need to buff out the dents. I suggest cleaning it off in a solution of soap and water, before buffing them out (wax on, wax off).UndeadxAssassin wrote:That's my problem! How2Fixpl0x?Senethior459 wrote: fist-shaped dents from previous enraged assassination attempts upon the computer.
