[Deprotect] Fate/Another2 ver1.0h
Map Name: Fate/another2 ver1.0h
Map Description: Fate another is a hero arena based on a anime/manga called Fate/Stay night. Several heroes called ‘servants’ are to battle each other in a grand battle called the ‘grail war’.
The map has a in-game selection for team mode (team/FFA) and several team modes (Arena, deathmatch and CTF) and hero selection.

Request: I would like someone to deprotect it without having to replace the war3map.w3i with a blank one.
Compatibility: map works on the latest patch.
Additional note: The map is in Korean.
Personally I managed to deprotect it using RMPQex, X-dep and MPQ-master. Wc3edit whined about the units so I replaced the .w3i file. This allowed me to open the map, but not save it due to some compiler errors…
And the fate map that was protected before was not 1.24 patch compatible, hence this new one…
Many thanks to anyone who would do this. (or even attempt it for that matter )

wait, lemme get this straight.
u want the map deprotected. so u done it urself. but it didnt open in WE so u changed the .w3i file?
if we deprotect. it will have the same result. tho u can avoid the .w3i replacing phase.
and open the map using jassnewgen after u deprotected. (or before just to see if it works)

Re: [Deprotect] Fate/Another2 ver1.0h
no, i posted a link to the protected mapfile, not my changed file.
i just tried to deprotect it myself before this and mentioned how i did it and what happened. i figured it could be of some use.
i have not tried this 'jassnewgen' program you mentioned, i could look it up and see what i can do with it
edit: jassnewgen allows me to open the map without having to replace the .w3i file. if i save it just like i opened it with it, wc3 itself sees the map in the maplist but does not start, it goes right back to the lobby if you attempt to start a game with that map.

Did you try to save the map with Jassnewgen? it skips most errors.

Re: [Deprotect] Fate/Another2 ver1.0h
i did notice that where the regular WE mentions that there are no variable names or something (if you want details just poke me or try it yourself, maybe you will get the same thing)
Upon opening the deprotected map, newgen mentions that the map was made by a more recent version of the map editor and that it could cause some things to not work. (maybe the whole issue?)
if you want to save newgen always gives only a single compile error, which is that he says that a function is declared twice...
you can just click "ok" after that and it gives no further questions...
the funny thing is, you can deprotect it using X-dep, change nothing and play the map. but after opening and saving it without changing anything, the map will no longer be able to host up. (after selecting the map, it goes back to the lobby)

Re: [Deprotect] Fate/Another2 ver1.0h
rather than a request, this topic seemed to same become more of a trigger issue as the script does not allow me to save..
should this topic be moved then?

Before you deprotect it, Open it with RMPQEx and hit "deobfuscate jass script", replace the one in the map with that one.
Then deprotect.
Then deprotect.

Re: [Deprotect] Fate/Another2 ver1.0h
At first i thought it didn't helped anything, but ti did change the script to a lot better readable format. it generated several problems with the "displaytexttoplayer" command but for the rest it was a certain improvement.
i can open the map, save is without errors and play it: exactly as i wanted.
many thanks for all your assistance haxorico, GeorgeMots and vRisen, this request has been [blinking]completed![/blinking]

I think you can uncheck "restore strings" to fix the problem, most of the time you just need to add quotations, or inline it by |n's, although it can be a rather tedious task.
