Asians = bad drivers ?

This may be offensive (I'm asian myself), but I always hear my friends say that asians are really bad at driving and if you're a true asian you can't drive. Is this just a stereotype? Or is there a story behind where one person changes the identity of others/race etc.

You know what else is a stereotype. All Asian = Small eyes (I'm asian myself). But we know that is not true.

I always say this to people who say Asians are bad drivers:

Go to Vietnam and drive. If you DON'T get into an accident, you're a good driver. You NEVER see accidents in Vietnam because people in Vietnam don't speed like Americans do.

But it's an American only stereotype, cuz I haven't heard it anywhere else. So maybe it's because the American way of thinking is:

"Hurr you have small eye, you must not see well = bad driver!"

People in China don't take a driving test. They just don't click me their license and drive.
Besides, with people taking walks across high ways, why should you be surprised there's many accidents?

The jaywalking in China is awful too. I was walking with my uncle and he walked straight through an intersection, and I was freaking out.
