every time i try to open up the map i get this error ?? how can i fix it or what am i doing wrong.
your help is greatly appreciated caboose.

by the way the file is hell vs heaven vm 7.2

Did you replace the war3map.w3i with a blank one?

well i was reading other posts and the deprotection guide and i was getting confused on how to replace files and combine the lists. because when i use the xdep program i get a .w3x file and i cant go into it to change anyfiles. i know im not following one of the steps correctly. id really appreciate it if you could help me out.

This is an international forum. We have members in multiple timezones. Consequently, you can't always expect a response within two and a half hours. Not to mention that we have a rule about doubleposting.

After you deprotect it, open the .w3x with MPQMaster, and replace the war3map.w3i with a blank one.

sorry for getting impatient. its just flustrating.

when i ddi what you said and went to save it it was only 65k when previously it was 3,992. what did i do wrong in the saving process using MPQMaster 1.3 build 42?

How did you manage to do that? Did you delete three-quarters of the stuff in the map, or what?

Either way, something went wrong. I advise you to just try again. Download a fresh copy and deprotect it, in case that was to blame. Then, try and replace the war3map.w3i (and the w3i only!) with a blank one.
