I was wondering, I never bought the game Left 4 Dead, but always wanted to play the whole thing.
Since Garena basically never checks for cd key, I was wondering If there was a way to download left 4 dead, but not actually have the game so to speak. Anyone wanna help me with this one?

Re: Garena Left 4 Dead Question
What you're planning is illegal in most free countries but lets just think hypothetical about it... (not that you REALLY would ever do that )
It probably works, if you'd manage to extract it from steam and if there is a lan mode.
And there is some fact you'd might be interested in... the xbox 360 has no cd-keys at all, nor does it have steam. So in countries where playing backups is legal you could play all your backups even after you lost the whole cd-case. In addition it is much cheaper than a pc. (about 180€ here in Germany) I have Left4Dead for Xbox and I think it's really playable, even with controller! - The best, you can play it in coop with a friend and even join online games together!
