How to have more than 12 players in a map?

Currently I don't Think Warcraft Can DO That At The Moment. Maybe they might add more players if they make Warcraft 4 :/

i think its actully possible. im not sure tho. like the dota map. it has 10players and 2AI. 1AI is scourge and 1AI is sentinel. but somehow it goten a 6v6 version. so how can there be 12players + 2AI.
anyhow im not sure what i said above is true and runs this way its just what i think

You can simulate as many AI players as you want through triggers. (Within reason of course)

But it is impossible to have more then 12 real players.

it is possible to have maximum 24 players in a game.
Such as Dota like game. Just make sure every player get 2 heroes. And then make sure heroes can be controlled by only using keyboard. Then some of the players would have to use keyboard to play and some of them will have to use the mouse to play.

By that measure, you can have as many "players" as you want. Just get each person to use a single key on the keyboard.

yes you are right.
In some mini game such as Uther Party. Players will have to press a key as fast as possible to win the game. In such game you can at least make it for 50+ players. No problems.
