Restoring Preplaced Units Question

Post by Rexoz »

Well yesterday I requested a map deprotected so I could edit it. And this person (Kaikiros) got further than I did on my own. He got the triggers to work (all in one jass trigger), the object data, and the import manager to show as they should. The main thing I need now is to restory the preplaced units so I can add more.

I've tried doing as this topic says for restoring preplaced units. Both the short and long methods. I read the long method and that seems like an overly excessive amount of effort and time. The faster method seems like it is just what I need but I can't seem to get it to work no matter what I try. I can run unProtect all the way through Step 1 and it runs fine. But it can never get past step 2 where it fixes them. I have done the suggested fix of running a JASS syntax checker on it to help with the code but that didn't seem to help at all.

I'm posting my map so far up to that point. I am not requesting that someone fixes it for me. But rather I would like to know how I can go about proceeding from this point. I am merely attaching the map for people to review in case it helps them to further investigate my problem.

Thank you for any help you can give.

We've never been able to get UnProtect or Nathanmx's Deprotect to work right. You may have to try the long way. It's slow and boring, but it will work.
