is there any better programme than xdep? I mean a programme that can really deprotect a map without extra works.
I heard somewhere that shammano has a different programme which is better.

Yeah, he said he would crack it and use it "for private use" only..

Re: xDEP Wont deprotect maps! :S!
Sry for exhuming the thread
-> I had the same problem like the thread creator and solved it the way you suggested (using a blank war3map.w3i)
No I've got a new but strange problem... i'm able to open the map with my WorldEditor on Windows XP but the WE running on OSX 10.5.6 refuses to open the map
Oh is there any way to restore the GUI triggers? All i've got (after deprotecting with xdep) is one large jass trigger.
I mean... i can 'read' JASS, i understand it, but one trigger with a few thousand lines is kinda confusion =/
(Btw.: I got the listfile for the map with rmpqex and used it to open the map with MPQ Master and extracted all files in YourMap.w3x.temp/files (in the xdep directory) before using xdep itself. When i saw the huge jass trigger I deprotected the map again but this time I used 'deobfuscate jass file' and added it to the map (overwriting the original .j'file but without any success)
I hope you can help me =/

Well you could manually restore the triggers, but that would take forever on any normal map.
