Oh yeah (DOH). Senethior's right. >> Rectangles are sometimes squares :S. Semantics...

The snowplow is actually a very famous differential equations question. You need to use derivatives and stuff to figure it out. This one can't be solved because of too little information. He needed to give another time to compare it to, such at "In another hour, he plowed 3 miles" or so. Doing so would have made the problem solvable.

That wouldn't make it any more solvable. We would be able to find his average speed of that time, or overall, but without a stopping time we don't know when he started. Only how far away he started and his average speed over the hours that he plowed. There's no reference value, it's just X-3 where X is the time that he stopped.

Everyone always seems to completely ignore those links. They see the UCP, and that's it. "Search? We have a search besides the Google one?"
