Righto, noted, sorry about that baert. double posting baaaaad, editing post good. =P
At any rate, if anyone could help me out with obtaining a full listfile from a map, that'd be awesome. Either maybe some instructions or I could send the file. I've tried xdep and mpqrestore. I tried moving the war3map.j file from the scripts folder to the main folder of the map before running xdep or mpqrestore. Every time resulted in about 15 unknown files. There are no references in .j to the missing .mdx or .blp files (that i noticed) and it's proving too much for my novice skills. Thanks

Re: Obtaining a complete listfile [help please]
I was wondering if it was possible to obtain a complete listfile. Nobody actually answered the posters question so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask seeing how I have been trying to get a listfile for a week now for this certain map of mine. I didn't think there was a need to make a new topic when this one is still fresh.
As I just mentioned I need to get this complete listfile (a lot are imports), now I know some of them are models and textures because I use wc3modeleditor to open up the "unknown_0091blabla" files and I can see them. Some are common ones that are found in hiveworkshop/wc3campaigns, etc. When I try and use those paths in the listfile (with AND without war3mapimported\ in front of them) it still doesnt show. Oh yes I also tried mpqrecover and all that, and all the listfiles I could find!
What are all the ways there are there of getting a listfile?
When I unprotect this map (manually or using a deprotecting program) the object editor files do not show, hence I cannot get the pathnames from there. Is there a way I can find their pathnames?
Yes I know im bumping a weak old thread /wrists :p
P.S Glad to find this site, unprotecting is a hobby of sorts for me

Xantan did answer the question... You have 3 options. You can A.) Browse through the J file, B.) Brute for the filenames (only in some MPQ Editors), or C.) Recover object data and find their path.
You know why the Yankees always win, Frank?
'Cause they have Mickey Mantle?
No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.
