How can i change a map name??

Its not the length of the maps name. You did something wrong and the map is corrupted now. Post the original.

tbh, i have a similar issue with one of my maps, after compressing it with the map optimizer (found in the tools list)it no longer shows in the maps list...

i'm failry sure it's not the length of the name either but could it be that the compressing of the map removed to much? and as a result, the map would become corupt? kinda odd if the optimizer optimizes it so much that it fails XD

Play around with the options of the optimizer, unticking one at a time. See whats wrong by testing.

If that fails try compressing some files manualy.

odd, but it is fixed...

for some reason the name i was using was not accepted or something, even with nothing selected in the optimizer, the map still dissapeared in WC3.
but then i changed the name of the map to something else, the problem just dissapeared

what can i say... it's fixed

Trigstr(along with a number next to it) is a way to make the script refer to the file war3map.wts

You take trgstr number and find it in that file wts, edit it from there.
