That's because deprotecting a map is analyzing it and making up files that should do the same thing as the originals.

i added all the files extracted with the RMPQex into MPQ Master to a new file called myfirst.mpq
i made folders with the name of the extracted folders (ex: a folder called "Scripts" was extraced and i cant add it for some reason. so i made a new folder called is "Scripts" and got the war3map.j file in there)
i renamed myfirst.mpq into myfirst.w3x
i got the map file in to the X-Deprotector folder.
i ran xdep.exe
i got back a mapfile called deprotected.w3x.
map canot be opend.
what did i do wrong? :<
on another map. that i want to deprotect inorder to translate it.
i got the listfile.txt of the map from RMPQEx into the X-Deprotector folder
i got the map into the X-Deprotector folder.
i ran xdep.exe
i got a mapfile called deprotected.w3x
when map tries to be opend WE crashes =\

I don't think you can just change the extension... While you're making the new map, tell it to make a .w3x. Or, make a map in WE, save it, delete everything in it, and then put the files in that.

Well I have to explain this
First Create a new map in World Editor(i use jassnewgen)
--In jass new gen if you save your map its a .w3m so you will open xdep configuration settings to this input - mymap.w3m - output - deprotected.w3x so it will be .w3x
If you tried importing the files in .w3m but you are deprotecting is a .w3m it will not be imported just do the xdep - BTW delete the triggers
Second extract all the files with RMPQex (make sure you have the listfile using MPQrecover)
Third now open the map with MPQmaster and delete everything in it
Fourth now add the files in there (the size will be 2times bigger that the corrupted one)
Fifth Dont Forget to flush
Sixth Youre Done Import the cheats now.
