ah...when ever i deprotect dota maps it get bigger 6-8mb when it passes5mb it cannot be played in wc3 right....
so i have downloaded wc3mapoptimizer4.0 to compres my map....but when ever i compres a map it crashes when i play the map.......so what to do?????i dont know what to check in the wc3mapoptimizer4.0 so that the map will not crash... can any one help me.........

I think it's 4mb actually

For compression, I just use the PitzerMike's Widgetizer and Vexorians's Optimizer

It's 4mb, yeah.
Try HeavyLocker. I've written a guide to compressing maps using it somewhere around here. I've always found it to work the best.

That means you deprotected it wrong..

It may be corrupted; not enough that WE can't open it, but enough that WC3 can't play it. I think opening it in WEU and saving helps get rid of corruption. Not sure, though.
