I was wondering how the hell defiance manages to get his mini-map blacked out, anyone know?

yup.. mess with the war3mapMap.blp maybe make a blank one, or go make a black map, then steal that... ;/

It completely blacked it out but thats fine. But i dont know how def did it as in his you can still see the characters ect, just not the terrain

yeah, you can make one file for minimap and another for the map pic,
ive seen this while hacking shopping maul... just open my old shoppingmaul
hack in mpqmaster to get the needed filenames!
