there are often emulators for console games but they aren't as good as the console itself and contain bugs
you can for example play gba oder nds games on your computer

Re: Console games on computer?
yea, after creating this i googled around, and found a ps2 emulator. It works, but i have yet to find a way to export the files still... i suspect there in the .BAF format, spent bout 3 hrs searchin for something to open theese, but found nothing.. other than that its for Infinity Game Engine, which i found in the first few mins...
i also found a "ps2 video and sound extractor" ( Cube Media Player 2)
but it didnt seem to work...
so basically im still lookin O.o, btw if anyone has any info that they thinks helpfull post it
(or maybe PM, if by some chance its against site rules)

Re: Console games on computer?
If you downloaded an image of the disc (.iso, .dmg, etc.) then you can probably just mount it and run it in the emulator. If it's the files that go on the disc, then you should probably package them into whatever format it wants, and run that.

Re: Console games on computer?
Here's a simple way (if it works anymore... and if I remember correctly...)
Download Alcohol120%, find a Rom for the game. Run Alcohol120%, and
select those files, it should compile them into a .exe which can be ran,
and it will play the game. I did this for Morrowind and Oblivion, with
files from the Xbox 360 version of the games, and now I can play them
just fine on my computer... Hope this helps. (The makers of Alcohol120%
got in trouble for some reason, I forget, so it may not be able to compile
them into .exe's anymore... not sure)

Re: Console games on computer?
I dislike Alcohol 120%. My computer was fine, I had Daemon Tools installed for a few months. And then I install Alcohol 120%, and all hell breaks loose. I'm currently using an Ubuntu Live CD to back up all of my files onto my new portable hard drive, so I can restore my computer and have a non-screwed up registry. After three days of trying pretty much everything.

Just _use_ Ubuntu from no on and you'll never have to worry about the registry again
