So I tried to cheat a map for the first time! I did everything that was done in JJ's guide and all, yes. Saved it and all. When I went to play it, the file was corrupt. Can anyone help? D:
I also changed the activation message, for the record. The activator is still the same. I just wanted to cheat my friend's map. JassCraft's syntax check worked fine, too.

Why does almost every single person that makes a topic about how their first time cheating a map just resulted in an error have the same problems? ZOMG...
Okay, I'm going to make a little guide here, that hopefully people will notice.
If you get an error when cheating a map, several things may be possible.
First, and most commonly, you forgot to delete the (attributes) file. Open the map in MPQMaster, and don't go into any folders, stay in the root of the map. Find the file named (attributes), right click on it, and choose Delete. If a confirmation message appears, click Yes.
It also could be a jass error, in which case you should open the war3map.j in JassCraft, run the syntax checker (F9), and then fix whatever problem it is. Often it's either that you pasted the codes not a line below globals or endglobals or function main takes nothing returns nothing, but pasted it on the same line. That's easily fixed by pressing the enter key. The other common error is pasting the function main part directly under function main, or inside the locals. When you're pasting the function main part in, put it one line below all the other locals.
Also, it could have a protection. If it's just that MPQMaster can't open it, then try Ladik's MPQ Editor. However, it could also be something trickier, and you should probably just request it, unless you know how to break the protection. Of course, if you can break the protection, what the hell are you doing reading this?
And UndeadxAssassin... I'm not even gonna try to make that into iambic. I don't know how many syllables F9 has.

Really nice guide there... but it's all been said before.
Some people just can't read.

It's been said before, but I organized all the information and presented it in one place. Instead of scattered through various topics in Deprotection/Cheating and Fulfilled.
