I can Deprotect just about any map - but some maps i unprotect when I edit the JASS and try to save it it gets stuck on Validating the script and makes w3 stop responding. Anyone know a fix to this problem? Seems i only run into this with a complex map. I've even tried deleting the Attribute file so I can edit and everything.
Any help would be awesome,

Err... you just want to edit the JASS a little? Then why are you deprotecting the map?

Just open it up in MPQEditor or another MPQ editor, and open the .j file with JASSCraft. Look in the tools section for JASSCraft/MPQEditor,
