Editing Preview

Alright..
If i use MQLMaster and replace war3mapPreview.tga
(its made right)
Than wc3 crashs when i click the map in wc3

Is it required to fix it within WE?

I extracted a tga file with MPQ master, edited it in ACD see 8 photo manager and the reimported it.
It didn't crash, but the picture was gone, became a pure white screen.
I think it can be edited in photoshop only.
Correct me if I am wrong.

I dunno. Maybe targa images aren't fully supported by those programs then? Or there's an option, and it's making it unreadable by WC3? I have no clue, I haven't heard of that program.

For everything I do with images, I use Photoshop CS3... I don't bother trying anything else (except GIMP sometimes, when I'm on a different computer) because I know that if it's an image file, it's almost definitely supported. I haven't had any problems with images I put back into maps.

i used umm Irfanview to edit them ? maybe thats whY?

As far as I know, IrfanView should work... That's what I use... lol.
Just save it as something else, like a .jpg, then edit it in Photoshop.
Or Paint... or whatever, then open it and save it as a .tga again.
