Trying to deprotect a map, every method so far has failed.

Post by pmstc »

Hello, I have tried many ways of deprotecting this map but none of them work. Usually the XDEP, MPQRecover, MPQMaster method works fine for me, but with this map I am getting an error:
This application has encountered a critical error:
Not enough storage is available to process this command.

Program: d:\games\warcraft iii\worldedit.exe
Object: WERandomGroupSet (.?AUWERandomGroupSet@@)

Press OK to terminate the application.
I can't say I've ever seen this before.
I attached the map that I am trying to deprotect. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

He never said he wanted it pretty, just wanted it unprotected lol. If he knows jass, he could figure out where units are placed anyways.

Oh wow, thanks!!!!
It would be wonderful if you guys would tell me what you did so I can do this myself in the future

Once again I appreciate it!

edit:
oh, and the first one doesn't seem to be working...
second one works fine though! I'm not really looking to add cheats or anything, just to use it to help with strategys. :)

W00t.

win.

I use xdep and World Edit Unlimited. With unlimited I go to edit map, then just save. After that, it loads in world editor fine. I think the resaving restores the last bit of corruption. For tuts on these programs, I believe they are from Xantan's tut on here.

Hm, alright, but it won't let me save it... the editor just crashes. Same with unlimited. :(

use the unlimited main menu, the 2nd bar from the top is edit map. It doesn't load all the map, so just resaving it is possible. After that, you can open it in any editor.

But what if it hangs at "Waiting for Commands"?
