A deprotection request...

For fulfilled maps that most likely don't work on the latest patch (1.24 or later).

A deprotection request...

Post by kewww »

Map: Request well I dont really know the name is an Arathi Basin Chinesee map.

Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?m3hn3bgfn4k.

What I need: Just the map itself deprotected ( openable in World Editor ).

Description: This is an replica of the popular battleground in World of Warcraft. To win you must capture the resourses and make them reach to 2000 before the other team does.

Hint: I just need the map openable by the regular World Editor.

My attempts: I tried to open this map using Xdep and the other MPQ tools using xantan guide. But with no success this is my only chance some that already experienced with those tools can deprotect this for me.

Thanks in advance.

Thats because the map is optomized.

In order to open it in world editor, you have to go and spend weeks or months editing files to get stuff to work, even if you deprotected it.

The only way to get into protected maps is if they're old enough to deprotect.

Although it seems in your case some kind of unit data is corrupted, so unless you can fix that, you're screwed anyway.

Terrain:

The map may be screwed. Edit the terrain, then import it in the original with mpqmaster. ya its rapidshare and not the fileserver...live with it.
