nope, its basically the same system like http, just the protokoll
is different...
it has some differences, the main difference is the file rights management.
but for a normal user it looks like the same!
ftp link ftp://web60f3:[email protected]/n00b%20file.txt
http link http://wc3edit.net/stupid%20n00b%20fold ... 20file.txt
both are delivering the same file
so as you can see it isnt anything like torrent!
you're using it very often for file downloads without
getting any notice
