Everytime I use map optimizer even with just 1 option is reduces the size by 94%.... making it nothing but a cheat pack xD. I guess I need to try Bushido's suggestion.

Maybe upload or link the vex optimizer? Google isn't finding me a download

I hadn't noticed the size, with this map, everything is going wrong for me.
I always have that problem too, Kugrox. If I don't use anything from the top left section, then it doesn't shrink enough. If I do use any of those things, like Buffer Size or ZLib Deflate, then it becomes around 900kb, and sticks a .j.w3x file next to it. Do I rename the 2nd file and stick it in the map? Or am I not supposed to use those functions? If someone can either compress it, or tell us how, that would be great. The files that come with it aren't informative at all!

Wait, never mind. I actually got it to work. Apparently, if you use MPQRecover to get the listfile, and tell the optimizer to use it, then it works pretty well. It actually worked for me, and I had everything checked too! What do you know. Discover something new every day, eh?
EDIT: By the way, here's the link, Kugrox. It's at the top of the post, but the whole thing is useful!

Still wrong xD. This map is far too small. It deleted the minimap entirely and the modify menu doesn't work either. Need to find a way to just shave off one little thing. Maybe delete a command? I don't know how to do it... But I won't need anything like -killfast.

Okay. I give up on the optimizer. When I finally thought I had it, it ended up crashing wc3 both times I tried for lack of memory. And I have 2 gigs of RAM and 3 gigs paged on a 2nd hard drive. Something isn't going to work there. Even taking out most of the WTFWarez ads and almost all the imported sounds wasn't enough. The optimizer is the only thing that will work, but it always either compresses hugely, and ends up messing up the file, or makes the whole stupid thing bigger, I'm not going to keep trying. Someone else who knows what settings to use can go ahead, but I just can't.

*kneels and prays to King-Bushido*
Can I ask how you did that? I spent a while trying, and failed miserably every time. Is there a secret password to make kilobytes of space just poof away without any damage to the map? :P

Oh. Well, I suppose that works too, lol. I was thinking that you had gotten the optimizer to not mess it up. I just wanted all of the things in the pack to work perfectly, I think I have a slight OCD/Perfectionism. I try to make everything meet up, or it just annoys me until I either fix it or destroy it. I guess once in a while, I just have to leave a bit out...

*Scoff* King-Bushido, you show off ........ >.........>
A few more hours and I would've done it on my own!
...... With any amount of luck.....
Do you think if I stare at this page long enough some of Bushido's magic will rub off onto my eye lids?

Thanks guys for all the effort. Now I'm going to test it to see if it actually works.

Hm.. I think the wts took out the -modify commands. But I suppose everything else works fine.
