i wake up, excited to have a funfilled day of wc3, and hopefully level up. first i decide to play a few custom games, and of course i hacked..
. also, i used a maphack which was detected by ladder, but was obviously fine in custom games. after i finished my custom game, i immediately went to a ladder game. once the game started, i immediately recieved the message "your cd-key has been disabled". i log off warcraft 3, and immediately search the internet for fixes, but i find nothing of value. so i figure, oh well hopefully it will be "unbanned" after a while...then i remember. Xantan posted a list of free cd-keys. YES! i quickly download the cd-key changer he posted and enter one of the cd-keys. turns out these CD keys were IP banned. when i try to access battle net i get the error message "you were unable to connect to the battle.net server". this only happens on US WEST and US EAST. i can connect to Europe and Westfall (beta), just fine, i havent tried asia. my question is this: when will i be un-ip banned, and when will my cd-key work in ladder again? also, does trying to connect to the servers/ladder games reset the ban-timer (will it make me have to wait longer)? Also, would buying a new game and getting another legit cd-key work? also, i have a static IP so i dont know how to change it if thats even possible to get around the IP ban. any help would be appreciated!
