Hey everyone. I was wondering if it is possible to be able to cheat or edit a map or hero in a normal dota apem/arem/sdem game. I mean, can I use a cheat or edited map or character if I decide to join any dota game? Or is that not possible? I haven't found anything that would indicate that I can use a program to allow me to have unlimited Gold, faster mana regen or anything like that without having everyone have to download my map.

it's impossible ... i mean u edit a spell / hero or whatever..they have to download the map

If you edit the map in any way possible, they'll have to redownload the map, also being able to see the picture, and mass suspicion will arise. If you join a game with a cheated map, you'll have to redownload it, and 99% chance is that you're going to be booted.

Actually regarding your 99%, it's actually around 87% (I tested it a bit

The only thing you can do that won't allow them to DL the map is change the minimap preview. Thats it. Anything else and they have to DL.

Ya I used to make people custom mini images, for the loadscreen that contained the mini image and all the player's loadscreen progress state.

They will still get dropped at game start though.

It is possible.
Once I was using a modified Banlist, which will do a lot of things including traking players name, auto-message, auto banning and such...
Somehow, haven't known what has happened, in one game my gold state became 9999999999.
It wasn't a cheat map since I was the host who had always hosted the same map.
Even though it is just a bugged happened in between the banlist and the map. I still believe, if I am able to find out what caused that to happen, I could use it to make a gold-cheat programe.

Just dream about it, someday someone could have make a hacked that can change gold.
Since then no one will play wc3 anymore. lol
