Alright, I got the basics down and it seems to work...more or less.

See attached map to test it...

Yet to add:
-Improved miner ai...
-Upgrades that improve gold acquisition
-Sound effects for the picks hitting the rocks
-Special dust clutter fx for the hit
-Code optimization/tweaks

Well done that's quite a system there. It really makes mining feel a little more interesting versus the normal means of getting gold. This would be a good system to implement into custom melee map.

Can't wait to see the improvements you plan to implement. Oh, by the way nice terrain.
