A fancy word for de-protect. Like, "I'm going to decrypt this map." "I'm going to deprotect this map." See, basically the same thing, except decrypt is the right word, but no one cares to use it, including me.King-Bushido wrote:What do u want? wtf is decrypt ? o.O
Also, I'm moving this to map editing related. At least, that's what I think that section is called...
(edit) general map editing, I was close...

"De-crypt" is not a fancy word for "unprotect" at all. It's also terribly innaccurate as the maps are not encrypted.
In fact, the maps are not even protected; so unprotecting is innaccurate too.
All that's taken place is the removal of world-editor only files and some .j script optimization (And maybe some obfuscation).

Bah. I'm not talking about how programmers and whoever the hell else uses it, I'm talking about most people who play on the internet, which, their definition of decrypt is deprotect, simply because that's all they really know about the word, and they don't really care to look it up either, I'm sure. But whatever, you are correct.Aero wrote:"De-crypt" is not a fancy word for "unprotect" at all. It's also terribly innaccurate as the maps are not encrypted.
