Is rpcd_hack.zip supposed to contain two files? I only have rcpd.exe, which is "broken". Tried repairing archive in WinRAR with no success.

Edit: No luck with WinZIP either.

Hmmm... perhaps an error in the download process. I'm trapped behind a firewall atm, this might be the cause, I'll examine this further.

Edit: Tried dling other .zips from files.wc3edit.net, work perfectly, only having problems with this .zip.

Edit2: Has anyone else tried dling this recently?

Edit3: Tried dling it again on comp#2 from a different location, it worked! Whatever, at least I have it now, gj Dekar!

now dekar tells me that lolz btw we got some problems it seems they have a nightmare scoreboard of some sort and genned rank 12's do not show up on there scoreboard so i would suggest using a name spoofer and spoofing your name then use one of your genned codes on it unless you want them to know your real account name and that your hacking either that or only play with friends and you all have genned codes anyways i was just giving you a warning

The SWAT map-maker isn't really bothered by the presence of the codegen - this is because the SWAT community is fairly tightknit: for example, the presence of the Nightmare victory scoreboard on the creator's site. Illegitimate rank 12 characters are very easy to spot by almost all of the more experienced players - and any suspicions can be easily confirmed. Spoofing as a nightmare victory winner probably won't help either - all nightmare victories are played by people who have played with each other a reasonable amount, so attempting to get into a game as one of them by spoofing will probably get you caught (due to friendslist), even if you find what the gamename is. Spoofing as a nightmare victor just so that you can use a Rank 12 character in a public game is rather pointless - pubbies are unaware of the list, and the amount of experienced players who play pubbie games is slim, so feel free to load your rank 12 chars, yell at all the noobies and have fun.
Dekar just about gets away with using rank 12 characters in private games for two reasons: firstly, he has a fair amount of reknown - this not only means that people will know that he will be loading a rank 12 (as he wrote a gen), but he can get away with it because "he's Dekar". Secondly, he's only playing with the middle-tier of players, who are often either unaware of the nightmare wins list or apathetic towards it or who has "earned" R12 characters. A random wc3edit member trying to use a blatantly genned character in a private game will probably get hated almost as much as a maphacker in a SWAT game. Besides - R12 confers very little benefit over rank 11 (one skill point, which is pre-spent in the nanites ability).

Another note - though the medal gen is neat, medals not only have no effect currently, but are impossible to legitimately earn and confer no benefit. So if someone sees you have a medal, it is a blatant indicator that you are codegenning.

Inb4 flames: The point of this post is to inform, not troll. Gen all you like in pubbie games, lord it over noobs, or gen when playing with friends. Even gen up to rank 11 in SWAT community private games - the overwhelming majority of the skilled SWAT community have no issue whatsoever with genning if you have sufficient skill to earn the character, and the remnant of it are too dumb to realise you didn't earn it anyway. But start messing around with genned rank 12 characters and medals, and you risk getting flamed horribly if you try to play SWAT community games - which is very bad if you want to play games with a real chance of success on the more enjoyable difficulties (most notably Nightmare, for which the game has many different and new features which are not present anywhere else).

If you aren't retarded and know the game there's no problem in genning ranks.
I made around 20-30 codes for guys in the swat channel...
Just do it like: "I just found my lost pyro r7 code lets go and rank him up!"
