How to read out your Router password?

i asked in some other Forums already but no1 knows know to manage that

so i have a SIEMENS router and want to get password cuz my brother is a big asshole and when i would reset router he do the same..

please a good answer thx

btw i'm trying John the Ripper , and wanna know to use this prog right

Nah i cant hack Routers
Sometimes i wish i could ... its not legal so i dont want to go for 5 years in Prison

They dont hack the own router.. they hack other routers ...
Well you can get in ur router to change it
Go under start,to carry out, cmd,write ur ip... then open mozilla or whatever u have type it in
he will ask for an username and a password
type admin as username & password if it dont work type
Admin and password Admin (if dont work try this:)
Admin and leave password blank...

Scenario 1:

Well my suggestion would be to try to locate the config.cgi file that is stored in the router and then download it if possible. I do not know your router but some routers allow you to do this. I would go about browsing for where the config.cgi file is located on your router. Such as 192.168.x.x/config.cgi. Something similar to that.

But like I said not all routers allow you to do this.

Other than this I guess you will have to reset your router.

Scenario 2:

But... if you want to be sneaky... install a keylogger on his computer, reset the router, and then let him insert the info. Then when your bro leaves, go snatch it.

Or... you could use a program like "Cain and Abel" to ARP poison his computer, and when he sends out the configurations you can read the text inside the packet. It will be a long searching process to find the exact packet and locate the information, but this works also.

My suggestion is to take the easy way out and use the keylogger method.
